This small screening of African American men found that the foods most correlated with BMI were chicken skin, low-fat and skim milk and cooking vegetables with butter. The men also had a low intake of vegetables. Abstract

HRT reduces visceral fat mass in women

Postmenopausal women receiving HRT experienced reduced visceral fat mass as measured by waist circumference. Subcutaneous fat was also reduced and small improvements in waist to hip ratio (WHR) were noted. The subjects did not lose any weight.
