Acupuncture for obesity?

Chinese researchers report positive results using acupuncture for abdominal obesity. Improvements were seen for BMI, waist circumference and WHR. The mechanism for this improvement is unknown, but may be related to stress reduction. Cortisol is a known appetite stimulant and also disrupts insulin sensitivity....which is highly correlated with WHR. Abstract
