Obese men have lower testosterone

This study out of Mexico shows the negative relationship between obesity and testosterone levels. SHBG was also lower and insulin higher in the obese group.

Fat cells are more metabolically active than once thought and produce many inflammator factors and some hormones…including estrogen metabolites. This, in combination with reduced androgen levels, is most likely a contributing factor of the increase in ED in obese men.
