Ghrelin and anaerobic exercise

Ghrelin, a gut hormone involved in appetite signalling, is not affected by anaerobic exercise. This is consistant with anecdotal reports that hunger is diminished after intense exercise.

Anaerobic training did elevate both growth hormone and insulin, both anabolic hormones involved in protein synthesis.
