Drinking green tea is only one of the ways to reduce fat. Green tea increases the body metabolism mechanism so it limits fat storage in our body. Most countries that drinks tea especially green tea has a low rate of obese and fat people. Lets take china as an example. Definitely green tea works but it must be coupled with simple exercises and a great healthy diet. I would suggest you take a caloric cycling diet. This diet increases the metabolism further and therefore helps the effects of green tea to lessen the fats n the body.

Anti-oxidant goodness and fat-loss benefits all in one beverage! I agree with Seifer and Lynn however that complementing a healthy diet with the right kind of exercises can result in rapid fat loss. For those trying to squeeze-in effective fat loss workouts in a tight schedule, metabolic training is the answer- it lets us reap the benefits of hours of cardio in less than 30 minutes a day!

Think I'm going to have to try to drink more green tea! I've always heard that green tea can help trim up your tummy, but I heard you had to drink excessive amounts. Is this true?

You will get a preferential loss of visceral fat whenever you improve insulin sensitivity... and that will happen whether or not you believe in it.

Green teas great; however, I am not sure about this spot reducing fat loss. Regardless, it's a great substitute for pop or juice.

I gradually made the switch from coffee to green tea and found that the latter is much more soothing during stressful situations and way better for my waistline. However, I agree with Lynn that doing the right fat-burning exercises with a healthy diet is the fastest way to flatten a bulging stomach.
