Carbohydrate Restriction Reverses Metabolic Syndrome
January 17th, 2009 | by David Spelts |Low carbohydrate diets are able to rapidly improve insulin sensitivity, and partially reverse the collection of diseased states (high triglycerides, high cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension) known as the metabolic syndrome.
Despite the fact that low carb dieters consume 3 times the amount of saturated fat, low carb diets improve many of the heart disease risk factors including lipids and inflammatory markers… due to their rapid and powerful influence on insulin sensitivity.

A low carb diet I suppose would mean less sugars, but also carbs are good for energy for burning fats – depends on your body’s needs and how you are exercising.

Low carbohydrate diets or those which restrict themselves to only eating a few complex carbs like apples or carrots throughout the day are the way to go. I’m living proof. With a little discipline and goal setting, anyone can do it.
