Resistance training for elderly people

April 24th, 2007 | by David Spelts |

Resistance training produces significant physiological improvements in elderly subjects, even in the absence of weight loss, in as little as 12 weeks.

Decreases in waist circumference and visceral fat were noted, along with corresponding increase in HDL cholesterol and decreases in triglycerides and HbA(1c).
