Red pepper cultivar reduces body fat

January 12th, 2007 | by David Spelts |

A cultivar of red pepper known as CH-19 Sweet reduces body weight and body fat. The mechanism appears to be its stimulant characteristics. The amount of body weight loss was associated with the degree of sympathetic nervous response after ingesting the peppers.

Other peppers also possess mild thermogenic properties.
