HCA effective for weight loss

Hydroxycitrate (HCA) is an inhibitor of the enzyme ATP citrate lyase, which is required in order to make new fatty acids.

In this study, the group that received HCA had double the weight loss as the placebo group. Skinfold measurements confirmed that the weight loss was primarily fat.
