Swimming as effective as walking for weight loss

Many have suggested that swimming was not as effective as land based exercise for weight loss. The reasoning was that swimming in cold water encourages a insulating fat layer.

In this study, swimming was as effective for weight loss as walking… as long as the intensity, duration and frequency was the same.
