Soy protein and weight training

December 3rd, 2006 | by David Spelts |

Including soy protein did not improve body composition over weight training alone, but it did improve lipid levels including total cholesterol and LDL. The improved lipid levels where most likely due to soy isoflavones.

It is interesting that the soy protein group did not have improved body composition. Whey protein does improve body composition over weight training alone.
