Resistance training and Growth Hormone

November 11th, 2006 | by David Spelts |

Resistance training, and other anaerobic exercise, stimulate growth hormone release in proportion to the amount of lactate generated. High repetition sets tend to generate more lactate and growth hormone release.

There also appears to be an improvement in the biological activity of growth hormone post exercise. This is an important aspect that cannot be achieved by just injecting growth hormone.
